Expect to be taken back in time in the best possible way with Cadillac Ciel concept which was one of the most ”genuine” design studies revealed at the FRANKFURT IAA 2011 MOTOR SHOW.
By ”genuine” I mean that it wasnt some posh attempt into pleasing everyone or trying to be something your brand is not, instead its what concepts is all about- giving some ”haute couture” of the most extreme things people relate to your brand; and also a bit of history put in it. Rating this as one of the best cars of the expo, enjoy:
We wish all automakers refused to follow trends and feel ashamed of their heritage, but maybe this is a unique case when it comes to Cadillac as a brand? We like it, bigtime…

We have finally counted them all in, and the final number of features Team A (Martin Persson and ”Mike”) did at this expo is around 30…! We are proud to have accomplished this, two days at this place is normally what it takes just to learn where everything is located. But we did it, and David @ SUPERIOR MEDIA has done a fine job of quickly uploading them so we can publish them for you. Here we go:
Get more VIP then ever with this world premiere, a two-door coupé of the phenomenal Phantom model. Is Johnny English going to be a better movie with this car having a lead part…?
Dont have much to say about this one, another generation of Porsche- and we all get older. The design though is not, and its pretty sharp; but is it growing towards an ”older” type of customer base? You decide…
We all know Alfa Romeo make beautiful cars, and we all know Frankfurt IAA is a real treat filled with beautiful women as well during the press days; but did we expect to be totally speechless about what they brought to the expo…? No, and I think it shows in the video as well.
One of the positive surprises of the expo was that Dacia brought a car which could compete for the ”highest HP” award. Athough far from its stock form, the ”Duster” which is a 850HP racecar to climb mountains like Pikes Peak, was a mean sight to behold.
They were supposed to be there, but after carefully studying our little map of the expo and looking around… Well, this is just confusing and should not be taken seriously. No Victor Muller on site!
As expected, nothing was more of a pain in the ass then to get clear acces to the worlds most (deservedly) posh brand Ferrari. Since we are going to do a special about it later this fall, we honestly didnt try harder then this; but if you are a fan of the prancing horse then check out the clip anyway!
Another splendid convertible making its world premiere and making rich peoples lives even more difficult; ”which one should I buy?!”. Oh the poor things, well all we can say which makes logical sense is that the new GTC is one of our favourites if its all about arriving in style and cruising around!
You know you will never ever be dissapointed looking at the perfection which is Aston Martin, but imagine seeing their brand new Italian-influenced Zagato concept and right away skipping over to their supercar the One-77? Well, thats what this clip has to offer so take a look…
If you liked the almost rude in eye-catching capabilities Cadillac concept, you will equally love what the German giant Mercedes brought with them to the expo. This Luxury concept oozes of science-fiction futuristic vibes and I doubt there is anyone that could match it in being 100% fabolous- not even Lady Gaga!
Another personal favourite now that we’ve had time to evaluate things, and I think the video made the concept some justice too- not going to win any awards for pure design… but as a concept and to demo what the Cadillac brand is all about; surely a winner!
A car they called ”ahead two generations” has a lot of hype to live up to, and we were not too impressed although we found some positive things to say about the front end of it. But could have been something ”more” right?
The brand new BMW M5 with its twin-turbo V8 engine did not dissapoint at all, in a way its more aggresive then ever- but still keeping us confused on how good they are still making it look so ”understated”. Check out the mental malfunction of combining Swedish with English to say ” B M W ” as well. 😉
Lamborghini was as expected quite a ”top dog” with their presence at Frankfurt, not is size; but in sheer candy for the visual sense. Make sure not to miss their special ”Lamborghini gridgirls” which this clip did capture some goodness of as well..
A very anticipated car and of the ”german giants” biggest releases at the expo. A car that is firmly sold with ephasis on the ”gull-wing” doors has lost them, and some unique for Mercedes misses in 100% quality. Strange?
One of my favorite cars now that the expo has kind of sunk in. Made some valid points on how added carbon goodness and all the other aggresive details finally made the R8 the supercar Audi wants to promote it as. You also get to see some of he interior of the very impressive hall they had built from scratch!
For all us big JDM-fans out there, this car had the most relevance to it as its almost being seen as a ”messiah” to rejuvinate our part of the car-world. Seeing it in person, lots of Lexus LFA but some remarks on the wheels and rear spoiler.

I doubt there is much to tell when it comes to Lamborghini as a brand, and what you can expect such a godlike institution in sex appeal to give us at an expo as huge as the FRANKFURT IAA MOTOR SHOW 2011.
We were (of different reasons) totally starstruck by their stall here, bringing 2x Aventadors and their ”final edition” (?) of the Gallardo; called Super Trofeo Stradale. Accompanying each of these three jaw-droppers were three equally (??) stunning signorinas which had plenty of the crew talking throughout the expo… 😉
Just sit back and relex, try to catch the details in this info- and please do notice the unmistaken smile on my face as it truly is turned up a notch or five-hundred as I did say in the video as well. Lamborghini, we love you!
Martin BILBILDER.SE Persson took plenty of nice photographs there, so apart from this video really giving you a good glimpse and plenty of drool-reasons; we’ll make sure to cover this even more. Just be patient…

A personal favorite at FRANKFURT 2012 IAA MOTOR SHOWwhich made its world debut at the expo, was the new 2012 BMW M5- dubbed F10 in generation name.
This beast in a perfectly cut for understated performance suit could become the best one yet. I particularly like the front end, but not quite sure all my raving of it are justified just seeing this video again. Take a look and see if you agree that the little more ”extended” lines pointing forward are seen are not- loved it anyway…
PS. Can you spot the obvious fails in my english saying the cars name? 😉

We did a lot of these ”100 seconds of…” features, and some were more obviously improvised then others- but we felt this car and the unusual lack of some finishing touches made it worth posting. If you didnt like this particular one, no shame in admitting so in the comments below!
We made it a little thin red line to follow to show you some of the premium convertibles coming out very soon, and the importance of the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster I guess forgives the journalistic quality of this clip. Today we got the world premiered Audi R8 GT Spyder being given 100 seconds of attention from the Superior Media team down at the FRANKFURT IAA 2011 MOTOR SHOW. The specially built from scratch Audi hall was very busy, and we were competing with many other video teams just to get a glimpse of this incredible machine!
I would have loved to see more of this car in action, it was actually running laps around inside the hall but it was mostly ”gimicky” to impress rather then giving up its true engine sound etc. Really impressed with Audi this time around, even if they will forever be the little brother of BMW and Mercedes they are as a brand honestly becoming exciting as hell!

Shame the expo is over, but gotto admit seeing the material and to share it will each time be like revisiting these two extremely memorable days! 🙂

We wont apologize for my lack of experience in front of the camera, and the whole segment is un-rehersed so you’ll find a glitch here and there. But hopefully it will make you more curious about the concept, because sure as hell there are hundreds of others who have done more elaborate in-dephts reports on this.

We have been on sort of a hiatus at SUPERIOR-TV since the huge ELMIA 2011 EXPO, but that doesn’t mean we’ve been lazy! Me and Pierre have been around at the different meets, but I guess a lot of the material will be used either for a DVD or to keep ya’ll warm during fall…
This interview is the sh*t (the good kind!) since in the brief time we talked to him, we probably touched upon more subjects we could spend hours talking about then ever before. You can imagine the both of us were dazed and our jaws constantly dropped during the conversation!
Can’t stress enough how many cool things George brought up, I made a list to originally use to edit the interview up but… there is just too much to highlight certain things when one second he talks about Elvis Presley being the nicest guy in the world, Michael Jackson using actual band-aids on his cars dents/scratches, being a street-racer probably before your mother (!) was even born- to the different impacts his work has had on the world.
We originally thought asking him a bit about The Fast and the Furious would do, but to be honest- there were eventually a few dozen other things more interesting to hear about in the end. I want to thank George Barris for being the absolutely best interview… ever (eventhough Chip Foose is a very very close second)!
(Yes, I was and still am a rookie in the words most sincere form doing these interviews. Please just enjoy the stars and Iam sorry if my demeanor pisses you off. 😉 ).
I will never forget this, especially since we went into this with such a casual attitude. So do the same, trust me when I say this one is worth it and pay close attention to what George has to say…

och.. hade tänkt skriva det på plats.. Men wtf.. Jag börjar med det som jag redan har sparat och sen fortsätter jag på det.
Trots att jag lever för event som Gatebil.
Och har längtat efter Gatebil Rudskogen i över 3 år.. Så är jag här på denna lilla träff. (Den har inte ens varit än)
En träff där jag inte alls hör hemma med min bil.
Men jag är här som åskådare och beundrare. Och som vän. Idag handlar det inte det minsta om min bil.
Jag är här för att jag VILL vara en del utav denna sorts bil-träsk som ja precis som så många andra har fångats in i mycket tack vare träffens arrangör Markus Eisenhut.
Jag är här även som support. Jag vill stötta, upplysa. Lyfta fram denna bilscen i Sverige som jag mer än så gärna vill vara en del utav…. Men… Mycket snack lite verkstad… I snart 3 år…
Och under dessa 3 år som jag har haft beslutsångest över vilken bil jag ska köra detta stuk på så har allt detta med stance, hellaflush osv osv växt fram otroligt starkt, stort och snabbt.
Men än har jag inte lagt ner. (Jag hade tid bokad idag att göra Hellaflush på min bil)
Jag ska inte påstå att jag take one for The Team. Även om jag hellre hade varit på Gatebil.
Men vi på Superior försöker lyfta fram livstilen/stilarna bakom bil-livet. Och allt handlar inte om att köra fort på bana.. Eller rakt fram.. Eller sidleds..
Eller överstylade bilar med överdrivet ljud som man inte kan lyssna på eller massa neonlampor osv osv osv.
Utan det är så mycket mer. Och utan att gå in och ens försöka beskrivs kärleken bakom billivet, eftersom det är från person till person.
Så vill jag iallafall visa att du behöver inte kunna mecka. Eller köra snabbt. Eller styla som fan.. Du kan Go low and slow också. På ett stilfullt sätt .
Det är väl grunden i det här med hellaflush.
Många gånger när jag säger att jag letar ny bil så får jag först o främst höra ”ska du sälja din Nissan??!” och då säger jag nej.. Jag är ute efter en glidarbil att köra hellaflush på… ”jaså du har vuxit ifrån att ösa ner pengar på bilen och körs bana”
Va? Vad har det med något o göra? Jo jag har tröttnat på att ösa o slösa pengar på bilen… Men jag älskar o köra snabbt och brett…
Men på bana.. Enbart.. (Jag önskar verkligen att jag kunde hålla mej till det) Nästan iallafall… Och jag får oftast avreagera mej tillräckligt på bana. Så till vardags vill jag bara glida..
Lågt..snyggt.. Och gärna billigt.. Även om allt är relativt..
Nu är hellaflush scenen väldigt stor och bred.. Du kan köra det stuket på precis vilken bil som helst.
En gammal Civic/ Golf.. Eller en nyare Lexus eller Audi.
Det är bara upp till din smak och plånbok.
Men även om jag får åka till denna stance träff i min racebil(NOPE!) så är jag där för att stötta och lyfta fram.
Folket, Bilarna, Smaken, ”Scenen”, Stilen, Tänkandet.
Jag vill att detta ska blir större och godkänt även hos oss fartdårar.Det skrev som sagt för nån vecka sen. Och var tänkt att vara ett intro till inlägget som skulle komma på/efter träffen.
Men i det stora hela så passar det ju nu med.
Men nu.. Inför träffen.. Det är väl egentligen bara detta ni behöver läsa.
Likaså i mitt gamla inlägg där jag försöker förklara med bilder om vad just detta ”stuket” innebär.
Ni får mycket mer än gärna tillägga och hjälpa till att utbilda och sprida detta bland oss fartdårar.
Och inte minst.. Kom till träffen och visa ”how low can you go?”

BTW, Kullabergs Naturreservat ska vara ett väldigt fint ställe, Så passa på att ta med en tjejen och ha en trevlig picknick i det fina vädret samtidigt =)
Dom varma timmarna går snabbt är som vanligt, Men vi ska försöka hinna med så mycket som möjligt.
